Did you know that “Complete and Balanced” is an important legal term? When a pet food label makes the claim “Complete and Balanced” the food must provide essential nutrients in the proper amounts.
The Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) has established dog food nutrient profiles at recommended levels. If a pet food claims to be “Complete and Balanced” it must fulfil AAFCO standards.
